Donate OR Donate Online Donate to Our Building Fund In September of 2008, the gallery suffered a total loss when hurricane IKE scored a direct hit on Galveston Island and nearly eight feet of flood water inundated the gallery. The Board decided to rebuild the gallery and beginning in March of 2009, the space was completely remodeled with a loft area for our offices to protect valuable records from flooding.
